The BI team works closely with our clients to solve their business problems with BI solutions that are informative, intuitive and easy to use.  

Houston Analytics BI team is much more than just a traditional BI team. We collaborate closely with our wider team consisting of data engineers, data scientists and optimization experts. Together, we create world-class solutions and services for our clients’ business needs and innovate in the forefront of what’s possible.

Our consultants are in a key role to work with our clients and make an impact in their data-driven journey. You will have a possibility to make an impact to our clients’ business results as well as to Houston Analytics. Your role will develop based on your skills and passions. 

At Houston Analytics we naturally work remotely, however our Helsinki office is the base for BI team and ability to work also from Helsinki office is a must. 

Your role and impact

What we are looking for is an experienced BI developer to join Houston Analytics as we continue to grow and expand to deliver the needs of our clients. 

What you will do:

• Work as a hands-on BI consultant in versatile projects 
• Give insight and perspective to solve our client’s business problems  
• Learn new ways to utilize modern BI technologies 
• Provide ways and perspectives to visualize data 

Who you are:

You know: 

• How to work with either Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or Cognos Analytics  
• How to modify data in ETL phase to serve BI applications 
• Visualization best practices 

You have:

• Experience in data modeling 
• Experience in working with clients 
• Hands on experience in BI development and deployment 
• Good documentation skills 
• Strong analytical and logical mindset 
• BI certifications 
• Experience with tangible results, and you can show what you have done before 
• Finnish work permit 

You are: 

• Eager to learn new BI features  
• Fluent in English and in Finnish
• Able to work (hopefully soon again…) at our Helsinki office

What happens next:

After the application period has ended, we evaluate all candidates by the end of March. 

We will contact all candidates at this point. Part of candidates will be interviewed for a brief video call to have a quick chat about the role, the culture and expectations on both sides. 

Candidates on the short list will be interviewed in person or on video by the BI team lead. This includes discussion on the compensation. The final interview is with a management team member.
